These holes are supposed to be made sharp and square on the surface of your structure, and their internal portion needs to be roughened and cleaned thoroughly before the dry pack material paste is filled.
After cleaning your home, you need to apply a thin layer of cement and sand mixture in a proportion of 1:1. Before this grout layer dries out, you need to put dry-packed material into the hole. This dry pack material is made using one part of cement and two parts of sand.
After finishing the above procedure, you need to ensure that the last layer is finished to look like the surrounding surface.
Mortar replacement method
Professionals use this method to repair any holes of depths between 2.5 cm to 10 cm. In this procedure, a sand-cement slurry with sufficient water is placed inside the hole with pressure through a nozzle.
You can keep the nozzle a minimum of 1m away from the damaged surface. The hole requires thorough cleaning and washing before you can inject the mortar. Ideally, the thickness of this layer should not exceed 1.5 cm. Still, if necessary, you can always choose to increase its thickness by applying multiple layers at an interval of 40 to 50 minutes.
